September is here and that means Fall is knocking at our door. This doesn't mean much for the weather here on the Space Coast, but we can still partake in the Autumn festivities! Personally, when I think of the Fall, my mind goes to coffee shops and yummy cinnamon drinks. 

Here are five local coffee shops you should visit as the heat starts to settle down:

1. Apocalypse Coffee Roasters

Perhaps one of the most unique options in our area is Apocalypse Coffee! A family run business in Melbourne, their mission is to be “the last coffee you will ever need”. Their menu consists of Apocalypse themed drinks and meals. The specialty drinks change every month to keep things new, and September's options are perfect for a fall coffee run!



2. RiverRoad Coffee & Popsicles

RiverRoad is located in Cocoa and has two featured menu items: coffee AND popsicles. There is always something new to try, as they have so many specialty items on their menu. And they just released their fall menu, just look at all the options!


3. Junk Food Bakery 

New to the area and located in the heart of downtown Cocoa Beach is Junk Food Bakery. With a retro themed space and new takes on nostalgic menu items, their drink options are perfect for a walk around downtown. Their coffee beans are locally sourced from Axum Roastery and inside they feature local artists! 



4. Pier 13 Coffee Company 

Located in Titusville, the pier 13 coffee company is another great option. Their coffee is roasted in house for extra freshness! Their fall drink menu is already out and has exciting options like the “Happy Camper” which has chocolate and toasted marshmallow and a brown sugar latte. They also put on many fun events throughout the year so make sure to check out their Facebook page to stay updated.



5. Island coffee and smoothies 

Located in Merritt Square Mall, Island Coffee is a locally owned and supplied coffee and smoothie shop. They feature Island style twists on many well known favorites and just dropped their fall menu! A Peach Cobbler Latte and a Maple Pancake Mocha just to mention a few. Try a drink and take a stroll around the mall on one of our rainy afternoons!

Grab a friend and go grab a cup, there are so many local coffee shops with yummy options.  However you choose to welcome the fall, enjoy the cooler weather and we can't wait for the holiday season to arrive!
