Cocoa Beach Air Show 2026: The Blue Angels Are Coming — Here's Everything You Need to Know
April 11–12 | Lori Wilson Park & the Cocoa Beach Shoreline
If you live on the Space Coast, you're already used to jaw-dropping things in the sky. Rocket launches. Shuttle flyovers. Starlink trains streaking overhead at midnight. But this April, something new is coming — and it's going to be loud, fast, and absolutely worth clearing your calendar for.
The 2026 Cocoa Beach Air Show lands on April 11th and 12th, and the headliner is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
What Is the Cocoa Beach Air Show?
This year's event is part of the Air Dot Show Tour — a national traveling airshow series — and rumor has it Cocoa Beach is its very first stop. The show takes place right on the beach along the Atlantic shoreline at Lori Wilson Park (1500 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931), giving spectators one of the most dramatic backdrops imaginable: ocean, sky, and jets.
Gates open around 8:30 AM both days, with aerial performances running approximately 11 AM to 3:30 PM, and the Blue Angels performing in the late afternoon slot.
Why This Show Is Extra Special in 2026
Two big reasons this isn't just any airshow:
1. The Blue Angels haven't been here since 2021. This is their first appearance in Cocoa Beach in five years, and thousands of people are expected to line the beach both days.
2. It's America's 250th birthday. The show is officially themed as a Salute to Spaceflight 250 — a tribute to U.S. aviation and space history, timed to the nation's semiquincentennial. Fresh off Cocoa Beach's own 100th anniversary celebration last year, there's no better community to honor that milestone than ours.![]()
Who's Performing?
The headliner is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, performing precision formation flying and high-speed maneuvers over the water in their Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets. Also on the lineup (full lineup varies and may not be finalized yet):
- USAF F-16 Fighting Falcon Demo Team
- 920th Rescue Wing CSAR Demonstration (Combat Search and Rescue — based right here at Patrick Space Force Base)
- Historic warbirds and additional civilian aerobatic acts
Professional narration and music will run throughout the day, and Blue Angels team members are typically available for meet-and-greets between performances.

Free vs. Premium Viewing
One of the biggest perks of the Cocoa Beach Air Show is that you can watch it for free from anywhere along the shoreline. Just bring a chair or towel and set up on the sand — though areas near Lori Wilson Park will fill up quickly.
Free Viewing
- Open beach access
- No cost
- First-come, first-served
- Limited amenities (restrooms, shade, food)
Premium Viewing
Paid sections offer a more comfortable experience with:
- Reserved space
- Food, drinks, and restrooms
- Optional VIP perks like shaded seating and parking
Bottom line: Go free if you don't mind crowds and planning ahead. Upgrade if you want convenience and a guaranteed spot.
Tips for Attending (From Someone Who Lives Here)
- Get there early. Lori Wilson Park fills up fast on big event weekends, and road closures along A1A are likely.
- Bring sunscreen and ear protection. The jets are loud — in the best way — but little ones especially will appreciate it.
- Park and walk. VIP parking is included with Flight Line Club tickets. General attendees should use the shuttle system or park further north/south and walk the beach.
- Expect a crowd. Record attendance is anticipated. Plan accordingly and enjoy the energy.
Why Events Like This Matter — And What It Says About Living Here
Here's something I think about as a real estate professional in Cocoa Beach: moments like this are exactly why people move here.
This isn't a city that just has a beach. It's a city where the Navy's most elite flight team flies over your backyard. Where you can watch a rocket launch from your balcony in the morning and catch a Blue Angels show on the beach in the afternoon. Where the community gathers for events like this and you actually know your neighbors.
I've been living here since 2010, and I still stop and look up. That feeling doesn't go away.
If you've been thinking about buying on the Space Coast — whether it's a beachside condo, a waterfront home, or an investment property — events like the Air Show are a great reminder of what you're actually buying into. It's not just square footage. It's a lifestyle that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else.
