Best House Plants For Beginners

I got my first house plant a year ago. It added color and brightness to my small, dark bedroom. Back then I was hesitant to add “water plant” to my daily to-do list. What if I forgot? What if I watered it too much, or too little? Or what if I gave it too little sun and it was too late? I didn't want to subject an innocent plant to my unskillful hands that definitely had no gardening skills.

When I realized that not all houseplants require constant attention or a meticulous watering schedule, it was easy to decide which plant to add to my home. Some just aren’t picky when it comes to watering and sun, and there are so many benefits to owning one! Adding greenery to a home adds color and breaks up traditional décor. They can clean up your air, relieve stress and even rid your space of toxins.

Here are 5 of the best houseplants for beginners:

Pothos

My personal favorite is the Pothos plant. You won’t have to worry about forgetting to water ; ...

A Great Strategy When A Seller Chooses Someone Else's Offer: Submit A Backup Offer

You'd do everything you could to get the home you want, right? If you've been searching for a home the last 2 years, you know that you've got competition.  One strategy that isn't taken advantage of enough: Backup offers

If a Buyer submits an offer and the Seller chooses another one, I encourage my Buyers to submit a Backup offer.   A Backup offer is a bona-fide written offer - terms, pre-approval or proof of funds and all.  There is an additional form that notes how long you're willing to be in Backup position.  If the seller accepts and signs off then that home is secured for you, should the 1st Buyer fall through.  A lot of Buyers say to me, "That probably won't happen though.  I'll just resubmit my offer if it comes back on the market."  I tell them, DON'T.  If you wait for the property to come back on the market, then you're competing with the entire market again.  Buyers fall through all the time, especially in a market where ; ...

Best Ways to Make a Small Room Look Spacious

Having a small space can be frustrating, especially when it’s your living room or bedroom. We all love a big airy room to relax in. But you don't have to start a full home renovation just to open up a room. There are more affordable and less invasive ways to make a room look bigger. From the furniture you buy to the colors you use, you can easily achieve a spacious room without having to break down a wall.

Whether you’re trying to sell your home or simply want to refresh an old space, here are some tips to trick guests into thinking a room is bigger than it actually is:

Furniture
First off, move your furniture away from walkways. When obstacles sit in the natural path of a room, it cuts off the flow of the space. Spaces appear smaller when guests have to maneuver around the furniture. Moving furniture away from these paths will instantly help.

Changing your furniture can have the biggest effect on the perceived size of your space. Your furniture must ...

Here we have the ocean, rivers, and so many different ways to experience Florida. But when people think of the Space Coast, they usually think of Nasa and the Kennedy Space Center. This area has a lot more to offer than rockets and space attractions!
Here are five activities on the Space Coast that are worth the experience:

For the Love of Pickleball

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, racquetball and tennis. Most often there are four
players although it can be played with two. It uses solid paddles made of a composite material to hit a perforated polymer ball that resembles a wiffle ball.
It is played on 1/2 the size of a tennis court. While rallying the ball over a 34’’ net, 11 points take the win, but must be 2 points more than the opponent.
I started playing in February 2020. It's an easy sport to learn, and anyone can play. We have players of all age's, shapes and sizes. We even have players that have had double hip replacements! But don't fool yourself, there is a big element of strategy so it's anyone's game. Best of all, just show up with a paddle in hand and you're ready to play! Pickleball players love to welcome new players and they are
happy to teach you the game. I take my paddle with me when I travel, it's easy to take along and I always find a c; ...
