I got my first house plant a year ago. It added color and brightness to my small, dark bedroom. Back then I was hesitant to add “water plant” to my daily to-do list. What if I forgot? What if I watered it too much, or too little? Or what if I gave it too little sun and it was too late? I didn't want to subject an innocent plant to my unskillful hands that definitely had no gardening skills.
When I realized that not all houseplants require constant attention or a meticulous watering schedule, it was easy to decide which plant to add to my home. Some just aren’t picky when it comes to watering and sun, and there are so many benefits to owning one! Adding greenery to a home adds color and breaks up traditional décor. If a Buyer submits an offer and the Seller chooses another one, I encourage my Buyers to submit a Backup offer. A Backup offer is a bona-fide written offer - terms, pre-approval or proof of funds and all. There is an additional form that notes how long you're willing to be in Backup position. Hurricane season officially kicked off on June 1st and goes through November 30th. Hurricanes can seem scary but being prepared will help keep your family and property safe. When a storm is approaching and becomes a potential threat to your area, the National Weather Service will issue watches and warnings to keep you up to date on how to prepare.
A "hurricane watch" indicates the possibility that you could experience hurricane conditions within 36 hours. This watch should trigger your family's disaster plan and protective measures should be taken, especially those actions that require extra time such as securing a boat, leaving a barrier island, etc. Many of us live on a barrier island which means we need to start preparing now, if not sooner.
